Whether you’re living with a high-energy ball-maniac (I own a Cocker Spaniel, so believe me, I get it!) or a quiet senior who prefers a slow stroll, my dog photography is all about capturing them exactly as they are.
Finding the Perfect Location
During our pre-shoot consultation, we’ll figure out the ideal spot for the photoshoot together.
I have a whole list of fantastic locations I love to shoot at, which I can draw on when we are figuring out the type of shots you want. This means that I can draw on these different locations depending on whether you'd prefer your dog to be photographed in a woodland, a meadow, open fields, or in dramatic landscapes. I tend to find that owners and pets have their preferred places to be, and having photo's on your pet in those spaces can be really special.
If your dog or you have a favourite place in mind, we can discuss it in our call and if appropriate we head there.
I like to combine my creativity and vision with your vision, to find the right spot.
What Happens On The Day
We will meet at our chosen location, and begin a walk around the area, finding spot to photograph your dog in along the way.
Every session is completely paced around your dog. If they need to charge around and burn off some steam first, we’ll let them. If they’re a little unsure, we’ll take our time and give them plenty of space to settle and get to know me and my camera.
There isn't any need to worry about your dog being on or off lead. If they can't go off lead, that's not a problem - I'm very skilled in lead removal editing!
Many of the dogs you see in my gallery were wearing leads during their shoot, and even dogs that would be off lead for action shots would then go on the lead to get portraits if they dont do sit and wait.
The main priority is always that you and your dog feel safe and comfortable - we can always work around things like this.
